Penfield Strikers Announcement

 

The Penfield Strikers Soccer Club is pleased to announce Laura Payne Bourcy as the new President effective immediately. Laura has been an active member of the board for 4 years, she has been a great asset to the club handling the SISA Program for several years as well as assisting with several grants and funding, most recently the equipment shed at Rothfus Park. Laura has repeatedly assisted with coordinating efforts with the 4th of July Parade as well as the coordination of team photos. The Bourcy Family currently has two active Strikers players in the club: Abbey U12, and Alex “Bug” U15, and a potential future Ranger, John.

2008-09 Indoor Practice Schedule Released

Individual Skills Training -- Applications now Available

The Penfield Strikers Soccer Club has again negotiated with the Skills International Soccer Academy to provide optional COE training to all Penfield Strikers club players this off-season. Training sessions will be held at SISA’s facility at the Brighton Sports Complex on Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road.   

These two separate 8-week sessions, starting in November 2008 and January 2009, will last one hour per week, and will follow SISA’s step-by-step training system. While the standard rate for these sessions is $125, the cost to you for each 8-week session will be only $70. SISA is a recognized leader in providing individual soccer skills training.
 
Students will learn skills that your coaches don’t have time to properly develop in team practices. Players will be taught individual soccer skills, sportsmanship, proper work ethics, training habits, mental game, decision-making, how to be creative, and the technical game.   Where possible, players will be grouped by team; the exception will be students who have previously passed SISA levels. Multiple time slots are be available on weekday evenings and weekends so one should fit your schedule.
