Welcome! The goals of the Penfield Strikers Soccer Club are very simple. We strive to be the BEST place for girls to play travel soccer and the BEST place for coaches to coach. These goals drive every decision the club makes.
The Strikers is one of only two clubs only for girls in this region. As such we are able to focus exclusively on what is best for the female player. This club is dedicated to promoting and developing youth soccer activities. However, we do not simply focus on winning games. We strive to offer our players additional opportunities to develop self-confidence and leadership while being part of a team. For example our U13 and older players are given opportunities to be assistant coaches and referees in our annual fall soccer program, All Girls - All Soccer. These volunteers receive community service credit, a small unique thank you gift and the experience of being a role model for players younger than themselves. We offer a number of special events that help build our soccer community. While the club does not simply focus on winning soccer games we annually have teams winning league championship in RDYSL and our players bring home many tournament trophies as well. The club offers a variety of educational programs for its coaches who are selected by the club's coaching committee. These include those available from our governing bodies as well as special sessions held by our professional Director of Coaching which include group and individual training. The Strikers are affiliated with the Rochester District Youth Soccer League (RDYSL) which is where our teams play their primary season. RDYSL is one of six regions in the New York State West Youth Soccer Association (NYSWYSA). NYSWYSA is affiliated with US Youth Soccer, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), and the Federation de International Football Association (FIFA).
